Staff Leadership

 

Executive Director

Jeffrey Chin, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. is the Executive Director of Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, Inc. (SYFS). He has worked in the social services / mental health field for over 19+ years. Jeff received his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Wheaton College, where he majored in Psychology. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College, with a clinical concentration in child and family work. He is a licensed certified social worker (LCSW). 

Jeff’s work experience includes various clinical and administrative roles in children’s hospitals (including nationally renowned Emma Pendleton Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI), special education schools, community-based mental health clinics, residential programs, and day treatment programs.

In addition to his experience working directly with at-risk youth, Jeff has held adjunct faculty positions at local academic institutions and has   provided his expertise to various state agencies. Jeff has had extensive experience that includes working with families in crisis, families with children experiencing emotional / behavioral difficulties, divorce / blended family issues, and development of leadership skills within youth. Jeff is an elected member of Shrewsbury Town Meeting and an active member of the community. Jeff, his wife, and three children have all lived in Shrewsbury for years.

Senior Clinical Coordinator

  

Jennifer Lencioni, MA, L.M.H.C. is the Senior Clinical Coordinator for SYFS.  She has 15 years experience in the field of mental health.  Jennifer received her Bachelor of Art’s Degree from Towson University in Maryland where she majored in Psychology and Theater.  She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Psychology from Antioch University in Keene, NH.

Jennifer’s work experience includes managing and providing clinical care in settings such as special education schools, psychiatric hospitals, and community-based programs.  She has extensive experience leading psychotherapy groups and providing treatment to adolescents’ and their families.  Her therapeutic approach is strongly influenced by her expressive arts therapy training. 

 

Clinical Coordinator

    

Deirdre Daley, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. is a Clinical Coordinator at Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, Inc (SYFS). She has been working in the mental health field, particularly community mental health, for over 8 years. Deirdre received her Bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College where she majored in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College, with a clinical education and experience which have prepared her for working with Shrewsbury’s youth and families.

Deirdre’s work history includes residential programs, hospitals, and community based counseling centers with extensive community programs such as Family Stabilization, community support programs and Intensive Care Coordination, as well as school based counseling.

Deirdre also has experience working with youth and families in an intensive outpatient setting with children with multiple identified needs and at-risk populations and emotional and behavioral needs.

Deirdre lives in Holden and is excited to be part of the SYFS team. 

 

Clinical Supervisor

Annamaria Chittim, M.Ed., L.M.H.C. is a Clinical Supervisor for SYFS.  She has 19 years experience in the field of mental health.  Anna received her Bachelor of Art’s Degree from Harvard University where she majored in Psychology.  She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri.

Anna's work experience includes providing clinical care in settings such as special education schools, public schools, and parent support programs.  She has extensive experience leading psychotherapy groups and providing treatment to adolescents, young parents, and their families.  

 

Administrative Assistant

 

Cathy Sooy is the Adminsitrative Assistant for SYFS.  She has 13 years experience in administrative services.  Cathy received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst).

Cathy's work experience includes providing administrative support and office management services in settings such as non-profit educational agencies, architectural firms, and real estate offices. She has extensive experience lwith financial and client records management, billing services, accounting, and facility management.

Cathy and her family have lived in Shrewsbury for years.
